“Shuttle Duty, Free Food, and 600 Ringgit Well Earned”
I recently worked a part-time job at the MATTA Fair for 3 days, and honestly, it was one of the most worth-it experiences I’ve had so far.
A friend offered me the job, and it paid 600 ringgit for the full 3 days. That already sounded like a good deal around 200 per day. The job itself wasn’t complicated, but it required energy and standing the whole day, so it definitely wasn’t a “sit and relax” kind of work.
My role was basically acting as a shuttle guide for visitors going to the MATTA Fair at MITEC. I was stationed at Sunway Putra Mall, helping people get on the right free shuttle buses. There were three main pick-up points: Sunway Putra Mall, KL Sentral, and Pasar Seni. From there, people could take free buses straight to the event venue.
My job was simple but important guiding people, holding banners, and making sure they knew where to queue and which bus to take. After the buses left, I would head back to my station and repeat the process throughout the day.
The working hours were quite long, from 12 PM to 11 PM, but the vibe made it easier to handle. The people I worked with were really humble and friendly, so it didn’t feel stressful at all. It actually felt more like working with friends than strangers.
One of the best parts was the perks. We got a free MATTA Fair shirt, and meals were provided as well, which made the whole experience even more worth it. Small things like that really made a difference during long working hours.
Even though the job was physically tiring, the environment was chill, and the experience was smooth overall. At the end of the 3 days, getting 600 ringgit felt really satisfying, especially knowing it came from something productive during my free time.
Overall, it was simple work, good vibes, and solid pay definitely worth it.
